On a tangent, sort of: I’m uncomfortable with the “virtual environments” such as Second Life where people are encouraged to recreate themselves as improbably attractive avatars. In our culture we are surrounded by messages that we aren’t beautiful as we are–then we wonder about the rise of eating disorders.

It may be a stupid statement but I think its quite funny. Librarians take their public image too seriously. The man was an idiot. Enjoy the laugh.
